About us — HISTORY and SERVICES
The Redwood Clinic, a premier wellness clinic, was established in 1997 in Berkeley, California to serve the natural medical needs of the community. Located 2 blocks from Alta Bates Hospital and across the street from Whole Foods Supermarket, The Redwood Clinic has provided acupuncture, herbal, nutritional, and other alternative medical treatments to a wide variety of patients--ranging from infants to those in their 90's. Clients include those from Berkeley, Oakland, Kensington, Orinda, Lafayette, Concord, San Jose, San Francisco, and the Greater Bay Area as well as those who come from all parts of the world.

Practioners working for the clinic have as much as, or more than 20 years experience. Pediatric, Internal Medicine, Gynecological, Work injuries, Automobile injuries, and other Musculoskeletal injuries are all within the training and experience of the clinical staff.

We also offer company and union wellness programs and community educational lectures, screenings, and workshops through our local representation of the Foundation for Wellness Professionals, a national, non-profit organization. Please call 510-849-1176 about your personal situation.

Staff Consultants
We are supporters of you, for the long term, in your life’s journey.  Licensed practitioners contracted with the clinic have as much as 30 years experience in utilizing Oriental / Natural Medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, and nutrition.  There is in-depth understanding of  Western and veternary Medicine as well, with referrals available as needed.  Many MDs, DOs, DCs and dentists refer their patients to this clinic for cases that respond well to our methods and for alternative medical support and evaluation.

Staff practitioners include Jay Sordean, LAc, OMD, CTN, QME.   Dr. Michael Gleason and Dr. Dave Penney (retired), consulting / referring practitioners in the veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic arena, are also available for consultation.

The Berkeley office is located at the northeast corner of Webster and Telegraph Avenue, across from Whole Foods Supermarket, in a one-story building. The address is 3021 Telegraph Avenue, 94705.
